We’re not quite sure what kind of deal for Cincinnati Bell is wrong, but if this darn regional carrier does not score quite fantastic handsets. Also known for the supply of white Nokia E71 and the 5800 XpressMusic first in the U.S., the operator is now the first American home of Motorola Milestone XT720. Because we recently heard the smartphone packs a 720MHz TI OMAP3440 processor, 3.7-inch touch panel FWVGA (854 x 480), Android 2.1, 802.11b / g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, a built-in accelerometer, USB 2.0 connectivity, proximity sensor, 8 megapixel camera (with Xenon flash) and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It’s yours for the taking – provided you live in southeastern Indiana, southwestern Ohio and northwestern Kentucky, and that is – but the $ 199.99 contract ($ 449.99 sans strings) price tag maybe just pushing for a more fully functional alternatives. Tough call, we know.

It can not be too attractive in the face of a number of more recent bedoeld Motorola – especially the droid X – but if you’re looking to score, that elusive Motorola Mile Stone XT720 in the U.S., it seems that retail trader Newegg has you covered with an unlocked version (of interest to refer to the “Milestone II”) for $ 540. Unfortunately, there is no indication of the 3G bands supported, as far as we know, you will be crushed when you discover that your AT & T (or T-Mobile) SIM tops with EDGE data – and more than half a grand, HSPA is the least we could expect. Caveat emptor, eh?
