Looking for some innovation to go with your Dad this morning? How about these fan-made clamshell phone concept that runs vertically and horizontally? You can use it as a standard clamshell old, the lower of the two screens as your numeric keypad, or you can rotate the screen in a few trendy widescreen panel. That’s all there really, but it seems that an ingenious idea to us – the preservation of the sleek dimensions that some think are crucial to phones, while offering the large screen format that we all want. Apparently the latest firmware update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (which, yes, is still based on Android 1.6) does more harm than good – if you are using WiFi and you are in poor mobile coverage anyway. In short, any time your cell signal drops to zero and then bounces back, WiFi turns itself off, is particularly cruel to believe that a weak signal is probably why you’re leaning on Wi-Fi in the first place. We have no details about what X10s are affected, but R2BA026 version sounds like the question – so if you see it, we would probably stay away until a new update SE manages to push.
